joined the SoHarlem as a Maker-In-Residence in 2021, collaborating with our designers to enhance their creative process and mentor apprentices. Tammy is building a new enterprise at SoHarlem, a design company that merges traditional and modern fashion and art. Taught by her grandmother, she crochets Bracelet Purses and creates one-of-a-kind clothing, accessories, linens, furniture and carpets. Tammy collaborated with Blue Olive in the design and production of couture garments for a destination wedding.

After a traditional education, Tammy immersed herself in fashion becoming experienced in merchandising, buying and display. She started her own consulting business specializing in intimate gatherings, fashion and accoutrements for clients and their homes.

She has traveled the world working with artisans, designers and jewelers. As a stylist, Tammy’s work has been on covers of Jet, Ebony, Essence, and print inside Town and Country magazines. She was also wardrobe director for the television program You Bet Your Life.
