Designers' Studio Community Training Institute

Garment Construction Training Led By Industry Experts Who Teach Basic Sewing, Design, Pattern-Making, and Tailoring Techniques

Community Training Institute:  As Part of SoHarlem's committment to developing a workforce to become gainfully employed in the garment construction industry we offer this program to local community residents in need of training and employment.  All applicants must be interviewed and vetted for this program and to receive scholarship. The training is ideal for individuals with minimal or no training skills in sewing but passionate about learning this trade and becoming gainfully employed in the garment construction business.  Local residents who successfully complete the training program have the opportunity to become paid Apprentices in our Designers' Studio.  Interested or know someone give us a call at 212 222 2792 or email us at
