SoHarlem Welcomes Two New Board Members

Adrienne Jones, is a professor at Pratt Institute’s Fashion Department where she has taught for more than 30 years and is the first Black woman to achieve full-time tenured status. In 2014, Professor Jones conceived and co-curated the landmark exhibit, Black Dress, which honored Black designers and addressed the lack of diversity in the fashion industry. In addition, she is a painter, photographer, and a fashion designer specializing in leather and suede creations for her private clientele. Click here to read full bio.

Barbara Perry Morgan has worked in the not-for-profit sector her entire career, from serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa to her current position as Director of National Legacy and Planned Giving at the Anti-Defamation League. Having raised funds for educational institutions and arts organizations, including the Jamaica Arts Center, Bank Street College of Education and The Museum of Modern Art, through membership, annual fund, and major gift campaigns, she has concentrated on the field of planned giving for the past fifteen years.

Meet SoHarlem’s New Studio Manager

Daughter of Dominican immigrants, Roselyn Grullon was born and raised in the South Bronx. Throughout her life she has cultivated an interest in creating and seeing art; and has worked with painting, drawing, photography, graphic design, and fashion. Grullon is a Fashion Design Graduate from Parsons The New School of Design and is also co-founder of Bronx Native, a streetwear brand created to oppose harsh stereotypes of the Bronx. Grullon continues to work in a variety of media to create work that speaks about her identity and helps create change within her community.
