Community Works NYC launched its series, Harlem is Healing. . . Dialogues 2022,  with an in-depth conversation between our Founder, Janet Rodriguez and Harlem and cultural consultant Michael Unthank. 

Here Janet reflects on her graduate school studies that emphasized the essential role arts institutions play in building community, how they laid the foundation for a remarkable 40 plus years’ career as an activist who uses art in the interest of racial and economic equity.
