Spring is in full swing at SoHarlem! We celebrated the season of renewal with an all-day Biofabrication Workshop, made possible by our partners at Gotham Foundry. Together, we’re putting the care of our planet at the center of everything we craft. The workshop included a lecture on fashion’s environmental impact and the potential of biofabrication; a hands-on session where participants cultivated bacterial cellulos; how to process material into a leather-like substance and exploring techniques like screen printing; and connecting these new skills to industry standards.
