In typical Javier style, he has transformed our holiday window into a vibrant display featuring beautifully designed holiday boxes that celebrate the creative entrepreneurs involved in SoHarlem’s Cultural Industries Incubator.

Since joining SoHarlem in 2019, Javier has not only built his own brand, Javier Valencia Designs, but has also dedicated himself to supporting both emerging and established designers. He provides invaluable guidance on developing their lines and offers a wide range of design advice. His expertise has been instrumental in assisting hundreds of fashion industry start-ups.

Javier's design portfolio is impressively diverse, encompassing everything from stylish coats for dogs to the reimagining of family heirloom couture garments. He has also played a pivotal role in overseeing the costumes created in our Studio for productions like "The Wiz" and other theatrical performances.

We are incredibly grateful for the profound impact Javier has had on our design apprentices, all of whom have flourished under his mentorship.
